Purdue summer commencement set for Aug. 4

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue University's summer commencement ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Aug. 4 at the Elliott Hall of Music.
The university will award 449 undergraduate degrees, four professional degrees, 401 master's degrees and 369 doctoral degrees.
Purdue Acting President Timothy Sands will address graduates during the ceremony. Brittany Allensworth, an organizational leadership and supervision major from Indianapolis, who is completing her bachelor's degree in the College of Technology, will provide the student response.
Commencement videos will be available. A DVD costs $30, and order forms are available at Stewart Center's Loeb Playhouse box office or by calling 765-494-3933. The deadline for ordering is two weeks after the ceremony.
Commencement will be aired live on Comcast Channel 5 and Boiler TV Channel 13. It also will be shown live via webcast at mms://video1.itap.purdue.edu/graduation
