Purdue to join alliance for improving student success

President Mitch Daniels on Tuesday (Sept. 16) will be part of an announcement and discussion about the new University Innovation Alliance, a consortium of 11 large public research universities working together to improve student success for all students.

The announcement and discussion will take place at 9-11 a.m. at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center Rotunda 
in Washington, D.C. A webcast will be available at  http://nsp.performedia.com/asu/panel14/livestream.

Daniels will speak on "Policy and Philanthropy:
 Candid Views about Higher Ed Collaboration and Scale" with Hilary Pennington, vice president of the Ford Foundation's Education, Creativity and Free Expression program.

The 11 alliance universities are:

* Arizona State University.
* Georgia State University.
* Iowa State University.
* Michigan State University.
* The Ohio State University.
* Oregon State University.
* Purdue University.
* University of California, Riverside.
* University of Central Florida.
* University of Kansas.
* University of Texas at Austin.
