WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue Convocations presents the family performance of Doktor Kaboom! at 3 p.m. Nov. 20 in Purdue University's Loeb Playhouse.

This performance, recommended for ages 8 and older, features a preshow event at 2 p.m. in the Stewart Center west lobby that includes earthquake and tsunami activities from the Purdue Network for Earthquake Engineering and Simulation (NEES). The event is open to all ticketholders.

Doktor Kaboom! - a spiky-haired German scientist and sometimes-rapper - turns the stage into his own personal laboratory and the audience into his assistants.
The boisterous brainchild of scientist/comedian David Epley, Doktor Kaboom! explores the unpredictable, entertaining possibilities of scientific exploration with air cannons, banana catapults and the creation of "elephant toothpaste." This improvisational journey into scientific method and application is an experiment in family fun.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for those 18 years and younger, Purdue students and Ivy Tech Lafayette students. Tickets are available at the Elliott Hall and Stewart Center box offices at 765-494-3933 or 800-914-SHOW. Tickets are also available through Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets for groups of 10 or more can be ordered at 765-496-1977.
