Confucius Institute to host 'Amazing China: A Cultural Entertainment'

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Confucius Institute at Purdue University will host "Amazing China: A Cultural Entertainment" on Sept. 27, featuring the Shanghai Jiao Tong University symphonic orchestra.

The event is at 7 p.m. in Stewart Center's Loeb Playhouse and is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m.

Shanghai Jiao Tong University's orchestra consists of students from all academic majors. They have traveled extensively around the world. The Confucius Institute Performing Art Troupe will join the orchestra by presenting ethnic Chinese dances during the performance.
