Just Admitted to Start in Fall (August)

Welcome to Purdue's West Lafayette campus!
Your admission to Purdue University is your first step toward a fantastic university experience. Make use of the resources on this page and the to-do list below to ensure a smooth transition as you join the Boilermaker family!

Admitted student to-do list (International Student):

  • Establish your online Purdue career account and Purdue e-mail through SSINFO. SSINFO is Purdue Student Service's online information designed just for Purdue students!
  • Apply for housing as early as possible but no later than March 1. Your housing preference form will be available online after you receive your contract in April.
  • Pay attention to all information you receive from Purdue. Some of it will require a response from you, and some of it will have a reply deadline.
  • Contact the college/school/program to which you've been admitted to get answers to any questions you may have about academic programs, scholarships, student organizations, etc.
  • Accept your offer of admission and submit your advance fee deposit by May 1 to secure your spot at Purdue (refer to your letter of admission).
  • Receive educational discounts on computer hardware and software.
  • Explore Purdue's great on-campus pre-enrollment programs, such as Purdue's For Me and Day on Campus. Consider attending one or more, if possible, to learn more about academic programs, housing and student life, and to schedule classes, meet with your academic advisor, take advanced placement tests, and more.
  • First-time college students: attend the five-day Boiler Gold Rush orientation program the week before classes begin to meet a lot of other new students, get to know Purdue, and have a great time.
  • Transfer students: attend the Fall Welcome orientation program before classes begin to meet other transfer students and get to know Purdue.
