Interdisciplinary Ecological Sciences and Engineering

Completing the Application:

  • GRE: Must be supplied through ETS website. Please do not mail a copy unless requested to do so by the ESE-IGP Grad Office.
  • TOEFL: Must be supplied through ETS website. Please do not mail a copy unless requested to do so by the ESE-IGP Grad Office.
  • Recommendation Letters: Please request these be supplied through the electronic application website prior to December 15. If your recommenders cannot submit electronically then please mail them to the ESE-IGP Grad Office.
  • Resume: If you choose to provide a resume, please supply this through the electronic application website. 
  • If you wish to be considered for research or teaching assistantship or university fellowships you should apply by December 15.
  • International applicants must supply a completion of degree certificate for each BS and MS received.

Master's Degree Program Basic Requirements

  • Undergraduate Cumulative Grade Point Average: 
       
    3.0 or equivalent required
  • Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
        Required – GRE Score Scale: Verbal and Quantitative: 300 combined, Analytical Writing: 4.0 
     

International Applicant Requirements: 

  • Undergraduate Cumulative Grade Point Average: 
       
    3.0 or equivalent required 
  • Graduate Record Examination (GRE): 
       
    Required -- no minimum score set 
  • TOEFL for Non-Native English Speakers: 
       Minimum Paper-Based Test (PBT) Score Required: 550
       Minimum Internet-Based Test (IBT) Overall Score Required: 77
       With the following minimum section requirements:
        Reading: 19
        Listening: 14
        Speaking: 18
        Writing: 18
  • IELTS (Academic Module):
        An alternative to the TOEFL, scores of 6.5 or higher will be accepted
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE) (Academic Module):
        An alternative to the TOEFL, scores of 58 or higher will be accepted

Doctoral Degree Program Basic Requirements

This is a PhD program emphasizing interdisciplinary research in environmental areas

  • Undergraduate or MS Cumulative Grade Point Average: 
       
    3.3 or equivalent required
  • Graduate Record Examination (GRE): 
        
    Required – GRE Score Scale: Verbal and Quantitative: 300 combined, Analytical Writing: 4.0 

International Applicant Requirements:
