Accommodated Testing at Purdue

This session is designed to provide participants with a better understanding of testing accommodations, faculty and staff responsibilities for accommodated exam administration, and campus resources available through the Disability Resource Center (DRC). and Purdue Testing Services.

Through this training, you will learn how to:

  • Define and explain the meanings of commonly used exam accommodations (e.g., extended time, reduced distraction environment, assistive technology).
  • Apply best practices for implementing exam accommodations effectively in the classroom or testing environment.
  • Describe internal procedures for managing exam accommodations, including scheduling, communication, and documentation.
  • Identify strategies for collaborating with Purdue Testing Services (PTS) to ensure smooth coordination and support for students with accommodations.
