Purdue Polytechnic High School (PPHS) is revolutionizing education and changing students’ lives. After recognizing too few minority high school students were academically prepared for the challenge of postsecondary education at Purdue University, President Mitch Daniels and university leaders took action. A new high school was created for K-12 Indiana students who are underserved by traditional high schools and underrepresented in higher education. Purdue will open its 135th season of football with a Thursday night (Sept. 1) bout against Penn State in front of a packed Ross-Ade Stadium and a national audience on Fox. Kickoff is set for 8:05 p.m. The Boilermakers will host their first Blackout game since 2018 when the team faced Ohio State.
