Website, service center assist with employees' benefits questions

Built upon the five pillars of the Healthy Boiler Program, Purdue’s benefits package includes many parts, such as medical insurance, leaves, retirement, prescription coverage, family-friendly programs, voluntary benefits and more. When questions arise, Purdue employees have options to find the needed answers, including the benefits website and Purdue’s HR service center.

What will you see next?” Keynote speaker and 2021 alumnus Derrick Howell-McQueen shared this challenge with Purdue University Global’s newest graduates at spring 2022 commencement, urging them to never stop growing and pushing toward their next grand achievements. The Class of 2022 — 10,000-plus graduates strong — officially marked the moment on May 21 at Indianapolis’ Old National Centre.

Paving the way for generations of Black Boilermaker excellence

Just one generation removed from slavery, Purdue's first Black graduate, David Robert Lewis, paved the way for abundant Black excellence at Purdue, which lives on with a scholarship in his name. Computer engineering major Eric Richardson (pictured above) is one of the inaugural recipients of the scholarship.

Military training at Purdue shapes PPHS grad’s future as naval officer

Samuel Hardesty was so focused on attending Purdue that it was the only university he applied to attend. Today, Hardesty – a member of the first graduating class at Purdue Polytechnic High School – applies that same focus and dedication to his studies and his training with Purdue University NROTC.
