New system to reserve outdoor, select indoor event space effective Nov. 29

Faculty, staff and students should be aware of an upcoming change to how outdoor and some indoor event space is scheduled. Beginning Nov. 29, all outdoor event spaces and select indoor conference rooms, atriums and lobbies that are currently reserved through the Unitime system will transfer to Purdue’s Event Management Software (EMS) for reservations.

'This Is Purdue': Purdue’s whitest paint appears in Guinness World Records

"This Is Purdue" podcast is sharing a new update from its conversation with Xiulin Ruan, professor of mechanical engineering. In an effort to curb global warming, Ruan and his team created the whitest white acrylic paint -- and now, it has earned a Guinness World Records title. The ultra-white paint, which reflects 98.1% of sunlight and deflects infrared heat, could dramatically reduce or even eliminate the need for air conditioning in some regions.
