Pledging to do their part for a staged return to normalcy on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus this fall, 60% of incoming Purdue students and 66% of Purdue employees are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and have submitted proof four weeks in advance of the Aug. 13 fall semester deadline. ‘This is Purdue’: Purdue’s diving dynasty at the Olympics

David Boudia, the most decorated Purdue diving Olympian, joins the latest episode of "This is Purdue" podcast. Boudia shares his gold medal-winning journey and how adversity has helped shape him into the athlete and person he is today. “This is Purdue” also talks with Brandon Loschiavo, a new Purdue alum and first-time Olympian, about representing the University and the nation on this worldwide stage. Loschiavo is one of two Boilermaker divers on the USA Diving squad for these Olympics. Listen in on Apple, Spotify, or the Purdue website.


Boilermakers heading to 2020 Summer Olympics

A record nine Boilermakers will be competing in the 2020 Summer Olympics, which open Friday (July 23) and run through Aug. 8. Find out more about the athletes with Purdue ties competing in Tokyo and about the persistent presence of Boilermakers in past Olympics beginning in 1900, when Purdue's Ray Ewry took home three gold medals.

Fast Start: A way for rural student to say ‘thank you’ to parents

Incoming Boilermaker William “Steven” Herrell will begin his marketing studies in the Krannert School of Management this fall. Thanks to Purdue’s innovative Fast Start program, Herrell will have a head start on his classmates. Herrell first heard about Fast Start through his Miami County 4-H Extension office, and Purdue 4-H Extension leaders are actively promoting participation in the program during this summer’s county fair season.
