Purdue to hold spring commencement at Ross-Ade Stadium

In-person commencement will return in May 2021 at Purdue University, which announced today (Dec. 14) that it will hold the spring ’21 commencement at Ross-Ade Stadium, allowing graduates to share the special experience safely with family and friends. The in-person event for undergraduate and professional candidates will be held at 10 a.m. May 15.

Virtual engineering and science lab initiative helped meet challenge of a global pandemic and more

Purdue was creating online versions of many of its engineering labs before the global pandemic. A motivating factor was a decade of growth in undergraduate and graduate engineering enrollment and a doubling in the number of online classes. But it sure came in handy when the pandemic hit.

Another Boilermaker may be next to the moon

Purdue University graduates Neil Armstrong and Eugene Cernan were the first and last humans to set foot on the moon. Now a Boilermaker will be on the team tasked with returning there. Astronaut Scott Tingle is one of the 18 members who will make up the Artemis Team.

PMO Christmas Show performance on Hovde steps

PMO to present first-ever virtual Christmas Show

For the first time in 87 years, Purdue Musical Organizations will present the Purdue Christmas Show as a virtual production. The show will be shared online via the PMO website and social media channels on Saturday (Dec. 19) and will be available to view through Jan. 1.
