Center for Healthy Living to open for in-person sick visits; employees reminded to get annual physicals

Beginning Oct. 12, the Center for Healthy Living (CHL) on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus will implement phase two of its reopening plan and open for in-person visits to sick patients. If there is any concern about bringing the patient into the clinic, the health care team may come to patient’s vehicle to perform any necessary testing and/or assessments.

Student works on an iPad in new all-digital chemistry lab

Purdue has the chemistry lab of the future today, complete with all-digital lab manuals and notebooks

Configuring socially distanced lab spaces for 2,900 general chemistry students was logistically impossible, so Purdue University’s beginning chemistry labs are taking place online this fall, the next best thing to being there. Or maybe better. Well before the virus pandemic, Purdue's Department of Chemistry was working on a “next-generation digital learning environment for chemistry.” That it happened to be highly useful in a pandemic is just fortuitous.
