Labor Day reminders

Faculty and staff are being reminded that the University's Labor Day holiday has been moved and will be observed on Dec. 23 as part of the alternative academic calendar for the Fall 2020 semester. Employees who need leave time on Labor Day will need to request that time off. Also on Monday, CityBus will reduce some area services off campus, and there will be no external deliveries or pickups on campus.

Outdoor study, dining tents added as part of Protect Purdue effort

Students, faculty and staff now have access to 37 study and dining open-air tents dotting the Purdue University campus. The spaces are available to give Boilermakers greater options for study, dining and work as part of the University’s comprehensive Protect Purdue Plan to de-densify gathering spaces. Dining tents are located near dining halls and retail dining vendors, and a map of open-air study spaces can be found online. The most current list of all study spaces on campus is here.

Bringing Our Best

Thumbs Up: Kimberly Jamriska and Brian Smith

This year’s BGR check-in was centralized for the first time, and with so many differences between our on- and off-campus participants, we needed to have space and a process in place to keep our students safe and get them through as quickly as possible. Kim and Brian (Recreation & Wellness), as always, were extremely accommodating to our needs, checking in on us early and often, and helping us navigate the new process in the Co-Rec. -- Craig Johnson (Student Success Programs)
