Opportunity to save money on prescription drugs via Rx Savings Solutions is underway

As of Jan. 1, Purdue faculty and staff members have the ability to use Rx Savings Solutions’ transformative and patented software to manage their prescription drug spending. The partnership and implementation of Rx Savings Solutions supports multiple pillars of the Healthy Boiler Program. Depending on usage reasons, the partnership benefits behavioral health, financial wellness and/or physical health.

Purdue to develop world’s first Mach 8 quiet wind tunnel

Purdue has been awarded a $5.9 million contract from the Air Force Research Laboratory to develop the first quiet Mach 8 wind tunnel in the world, further solidifying the state of Indiana’s major role in one of the U.S. Department of Defense’s top technological priorities – the development of hypersonics systems.

Do some children really hear 30 million more words than others?

The concept that children from lower socioeconomic backgrounds start out at a learning disadvantage because they hear fewer words than children from higher socioeconomic backgrounds — a so-called 30 million-word gap — should be explored with more detail, says a Purdue social scientist and researcher.
