150th anniversary celebration continues with eminent experts, thought leaders

Just a few weeks remain to celebrate Purdue’s 150th anniversary, and the public is invited to participate in the closing activities as they lead up to an astronaut reunion during Homecoming on Oct. 12. Some of the speakers include author and journalist Walter Isaacson, speaking today; Condoleezza Rice, the 66th U.S. secretary of state; and a presentation by noted planetary scientist Allen Stern.

Nation’s first digitally operated nuclear reactor dedicated at Purdue

How reliable and resilient is an all-digital nuclear reactor? Scientists and engineers at Purdue hope to answer that question by supporting public and private research partnerships at a first-of-its-kind, digitally operated nuclear reactor, licensed by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Goldwater Scholarships

Two Purdue students have earned the Goldwater Scholarship, the nation’s preeminent scholarship for undergraduates in mathematics, natural sciences or engineering. Natalie Kadlubowski and Alex Tesmer, both in their third year, are Purdue’s 50th and 51st Goldwater Scholars.
