Faculty members are encouraged to attend the next President's Colloquia presentation, set for Wednesday (Oct. 17). Hosted by President Mitch Daniels, the colloquia provide opportunities to hear faculty experts discuss their research in presentations specifically for non-experts.

Barry Barish, the 2017 Nobel Prize winner in physics, will discuss “What if We Could Hear Gravity: The Detection of Gravitational Waves from Colliding Black Holes,” at 7 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 17) at Stewart Center’s Loeb Playhouse. Author Michael Lewis to speak at Krannert

Michael Lewis

Michael Lewis, best-selling author of “The Blind Side” and “Moneyball,” will engage in a Q&A session with Krannert Dean David Hummels at 7 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 16) in Stewart Center’s Loeb Playhouse. Lewis released his new book, “The Fifth Risk,” on Oct. 2.
