Córdova greets Gebisa Ejeta, Distinguished Professor of Agronomy, and his wife, Senait, before the World Food Prize ceremony on Thursday at the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines. Ejeta received the World Food Prize for his work in developing sorghum varieties resistant to drought and Striga, a parasitic weed common on the African continent.
