Kossek to present 2021 Lu Ann Aday Lecture on future of work-life leadership and flexibility
Ellen Ernst Kossek, the Basil S. Turner Distinguished Professor of Management in the Krannert School of Management, will give the 2021 Lu Ann Aday Distinguished Lecture focused on the future of work-life leadership and flexibility at 2 p.m. ET Monday (Nov. 1). The lecture will be livestreamed.
Kossek, a leading social scientist whose work has shaped the field of work-life and work-family research policy in the U.S. and internationally, is being recognized for her contributions on the topic, including the equity issues that it implicitly addresses. The LuAnn Aday Award is Purdue’s most prestigious accolade for exceptional work in the humanities and social sciences. The selection of Kossek as the 2021 recipient was announced Oct. 20 along with recipients of Purdue’s other top awards in research and scholarship.
Kossek’s lecture focus on the increased awareness during COVID-19 of growing challenges in work-life balance, the effectiveness of employer responses, and the importance of strategic leadership and flexibility in helping and retaining workers.
