This hands-on, real-world experience enhances career development for students by allowing them to work on internal and external projects, mirroring an industry IT department. Students collaborate on multiple projects as part of a dynamic IT team, gaining valuable skills that contribute to their professional growth and prepare them for successful careers in technology.

Core Mission

The mission of the Living Lab at Purdue University Indianapolis is to provide an experiential and service-oriented IT learning environment for students. Through hands-on CIT projects at Purdue, students engage in real production IT environments, equipping them to immediately contribute to their future workplaces upon graduation.

Practical experience supports career development for students by helping them solve IT problems independently, while meeting business standards for managing, documenting, and reporting their work. Students will develop essential skills through timely weekly status reports, preparing them for success in their IT careers.
