Critical or time-sensitive facilities issues should be communicated through one of the methods listed below. Examples include power outages, water leaks or any issue that will cause property damage or loss quickly.
From 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Contact the Work Request Center at 765-494-9999.
From 4 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
Contact the Purdue Public Safety Dispatch Center through their non-emergency phone number at 765-494-8221.
Do not report non-emergencies to the contacts listed above. Instead, use the Fix It Portal.

Urgent Requests
Residential facilities
- North Hall: Residents can contact the resident advisor (RA) on duty number at 765-806-0050.
- Lux on Capitol: Residents can report urgent issues to the management office at 260-823–4626.
All other campus facilities:
- Emergency Request: A threat to safety/security and/or immediate catastrophic damage.
- Examples include a flood, fire or the smell of gas.
- Contact the IUI Police Department at 317-274-7911.
- Urgent Request: Immediate action is needed and can’t wait for routine schedule but does not fall under an emergency request need.
- Examples include overflowing plumbing, a door that won’t secure or exposed wiring.
- Contact IUI Campus Facility Services at 317-278-1900.
