The Office of Emergency Preparedness is part of the Physical Facilities and Public Safety organization.
Our purpose is lead Purdue’s emergency preparedness efforts with the campus community and local, state and federal emergency agencies. Our vision is to provide world-class preparedness for the entire Purdue community through strong leadership, collaborations, effective communication and continuous improvement.

Emergencies: Call or Text 911
In an emergency situation, call 911 from any phone. There are also nearly 300 Emergency Telephone System boxes located throughout the West Lafayette campus. The call boxes connect to 911 dispatchers within seconds. Tell the dispatcher about your emergency, and public safety personnel will be sent to your location immediately.
