WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue University Division of Financial Aid CashCourse website has been ranked No. 1 for the most visits, according to the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE).
Amy B. Hartenstine, NEFE's director of CashCourse programs, said that between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2010, the Purdue CashCourse website had 27,151 visits and 37,703 individual page views. Hartenstine said "current information indicates that Purdue may be on its way to a repeat in 2011 as well."
"This is wonderful news," said Joyce Hall, Purdue's executive director of the Division of Financial Aid. "The CashCourse website provides a wealth of financial literacy information for Purdue students and their families and can help students build a solid financial foundation during the college years. We have been promoting Purdue CashCourse through our publications and outreach programs, and we are pleased that so many students and families are accessing this information."
CashCourse was designed to provide students information that will help them make informed financial decisions throughout their college years and into their professional life. Among the topics covered on the website are budgeting, banking, smart credit card usage and planning for retirement.
