Student organizations' Web site active again after upgrade
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - "GetInvolved@Purdue," a Web site for Purdue University student organizations, is up and running again after being revamped.
"I would like student leaders to take advantage of all the features on the Web site," said Pablo Malavenda, associate dean of student activities. "It's going to make communication with members, recruiting members and promoting events a lot easier."
The new Web site was initially launched in August 2008 to give student organization leaders the online tools to manage their groups and complete tasks such as creating flyers, storing documents, doing online surveys and recruiting new members, Malavenda said.
"We also wanted prospective students and their families to see what Purdue has to offer with the 878 student organizations on campus, including fraternities, sororities and cooperatives," he said.
Last November the Web site encountered technical problems, which have since been resolved.
Students can visit the Web site at https://www.getinvolved.purdue.edu/
