Trustees approve winter recess for 2024

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — At the recommendation of President Mung Chiang, the Purdue University Board of Trustees on Friday (Feb. 2) approved for 2024 the addition of a four-day winter recess on Dec. 26-27 and Dec. 30-31 for faculty and staff on the West Lafayette, Fort Wayne and Northwest campuses. The four days are in addition to approved university holidays on Dec. 24 and 25 and Jan. 1, 2025, and the president’s designated holiday on Dec. 23.

Therefore, the university will be officially closed Dec. 23, 2024, through Jan. 1, 2025.
