Purdue Women’s Conference 2024 features more than 20 empowering speakers

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Purdue Women’s Network — part of the Purdue for Life Foundation — will host Purdue Women’s Conference 2024 on June 17–18 at the Purdue Memorial Union in West Lafayette.

The annual conference focuses on personal and professional development. It will draw women looking to motivate, uplift and connect within a supportive community of Purdue alumnae and friends.

“We are excited to welcome Purdue women back to campus again this year for our fifth annual Purdue Women’s Conference,” said Jillian Henry, vice president of engagement at the Purdue for Life Foundation. “This conference brings together Purdue alumnae and friends — from diverse industries and career levels — who want to learn from and encourage each other. We look forward to celebrating our supportive sisterhood.”

The conference will include keynotes by top speakers as well as 20 focused breakout sessions. One featured speaker is Kathleen St. Jean, who founded the public benefit corporation 34 Lives through the Purdue Research Foundation. The company helps solve the organ transplant crisis by preserving unused kidneys.

Other keynote speakers include:

  • Leanna Chroman, vice president of culture and learning for Huse Culinary
  • Kelly Hiller, vice president of marketing for Purdue University Marketing and Communications
  • Cara Putman (MBA ’15), clinical assistant professor and director of the Brock-Wilson Center for Women in Business at Purdue’s Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business
  • Julie Thornton (HHS ’94), director of career services for the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago
