Policy update announcement

Purdue routinely reviews and updates the university’s policies and standards.

Effective Oct. 1, revisions to the policy on Charitable Donations to the University (II.B.2) align the responsibilities with the university’s current structure. The updates also include reaffirming the university’s limitations on gifts from sources located in foreign adversary nations and clarifying the university’s principles, priorities and obligations related to gifts and naming requests.

Effective Jan. 1, 2027, the policy on Programs Involving Minors (III.A.6) will require periodic criminal background checks on program staff for custodial programs and facilities use agreements for programs sponsored or co-sponsored by third parties.

Visit the new and revised policies page on the University Policy Office website for a link to the full text of these policies.

Note: Policies and standards do not apply to Purdue University Global, as it maintains its own policies and standards.
