Reminder: Conflicts of Commitment and Reportable Outside Activities

All exempt employees, including faculty, staff and certain student employees, are required to complete annual training and certify compliance with the Conflicts of Commitment and Reportable Outside Activities Policy. Updating your 2026-27 Disclosure Profile in the PERA COI/COC Module fulfills these requirements and enables you to submit any necessary Reportable Outside Activity Pre-Approval Requests.

PERA will email exempt employees a link to update their disclosure profile. Fiscal-year employees received this email July 10. Academic-year employees should receive their notification before Monday (Aug. 24). Reminder emails will also be sent.

Please wait to receive the email notification before updating your disclosure profile. If you update it before receiving the email, it may need to be completed again for certification to be properly recorded. The deadline to update your disclosure profile, complete the training and certify compliance is Sept. 30.

Once you have successfully updated your disclosure profile, your status in the COI/COC Module will change from “Action Required” to “No Action Required.” You will also receive a confirmation email from PERA.
