Purdue Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium accepting presentation abstracts through July 9

Undergraduate students have until July 9 to submit their abstracts to present a research talk, poster or virtual presentation on their research or creative endeavors during the 2026 Purdue Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium.

The symposium will showcase undergraduate research with students delivering in-person presentations on July 30 and virtual presentations from July 27-31. Undergraduate researchers and scholars from all disciplines are encouraged to participate. Any Purdue student working with any mentor or any non-Purdue student working with a Purdue research mentor or program can participate in the symposium.

On July 30, poster sessions will be in the Purdue Memorial Union Ballrooms from 10:30-11:30 a.m., noon to 1 p.m. and 1:30-2:30 p.m., and the research talks will be in various rooms in Grissom Hall from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The abstract book, program and presenter times will be published closer to the event.

The virtual conference will host recorded presentations from July 27-31 on the symposium website. This will allow for presentations from Purdue students who are conducting work off campus and from those who have left campus for the summer.

The process of disseminating research results, gaining valuable feedback from peers and professors, and networking with other participants is a vital step in the learning process of engaging in research.

The Purdue Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium is organized by the Office of Undergraduate Research.
