Special reception set to honor departing Purdue President Chiang, First Lady Hui on June 22

A special reception bidding a fond Boilermaker farewell to outgoing Purdue University President Mung Chiang, First Lady Dr. YingKei Hui and their family is scheduled for 4:30-6 p.m. Monday, June 22. The event is in the North Ballroom of the Purdue Memorial Union.

Remarks are set to begin at 5:15 p.m., and refreshments and ice cream will be available. The Purdue community is invited to celebrate the First Family’s impact on the university and wish them well as they conclude their time at Purdue on June 30.

Guests are asked to RSVP for the event.

Chiang is leaving Purdue to become president of Northwestern University, a role he will assume July 1. Hui will have the position of internal medicine physician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, an academic medical center that’s part of Northwestern Medicine.
