Policy updates for June

Purdue routinely reviews and updates the university’s policies and standards. The following changes are effective June 1:

  1. Background Checks (VI.F.6): Changes to this policy remove the requirement for current employees to be subject to a background check when they are a candidate for a new position.
  2. Authority for Conferences and Online, Professional and Continuing Education (V.B.4): This policy was pared down to focus on the authorities granted (both administrative and fiscal) and the responsibilities individuals and units have for coordinating these types of programs.

Visit the new and revised policies page on the University Policy Office website for a link to the full text of these policies.

Note: Policies and standards do not apply to Purdue Global as it maintains its own policies and standards.
