Purdue’s annual Spring Fling appreciation event for faculty, staff, graduate student staff and retirees will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 21 at and around Memorial Mall.

A variety of activities will be available for employees and retirees to enjoy, including bingo, cornhole and ladder toss, a golf outing, the 3-mile fitness walk, musical entertainment and a classic vehicle show. Lunch options will also be available for those who attend.

Registration for the golf outing, fitness walk and classic vehicle show will be available online beginning in April.

Volunteer opportunities

Spring Fling is a success each year thanks to the day-of support of volunteers. Online volunteer registration is now open, and faculty, staff, graduate student staff and retirees are welcome to sign up for tasks through 5 p.m. April 9.

Volunteers can select from a variety of shifts and responsibilities, including setting up and restocking food and beverage stations; directing attendees at the information booth; staffing check-in, checkout and checkpoint spots for the 3-mile fitness walk; and emptying trash and recycling containers.

All volunteers will receive a Spring Fling T-shirt and three additional entry tickets for the door prize drawing.

More information about Spring Fling 2026, including activities that require registration, will be shared in upcoming issues of Purdue Today.
