Register for the 18th annual 5K Challenge for cancer research

The Purdue Institute for Cancer Research (PICR) will host the 18th annual 5K Challenge on April 18 at Purdue’s West Lafayette location. The evening event kicks off at 7:30 p.m., with the race starting at 8 p.m. at Ross-Ade Stadium. A post-race celebration is planned after the finish.

Open to runners, walkers, survivors and supporters of all ages, the 5K Challenge brings the Boilermaker community together to advance cancer research at Purdue. Since 2008, the event has raised more than $1 million to fuel life-changing science at the PICR and shines a light on the stories of those impacted by cancer.

Participants can join in person in West Lafayette or register for the virtual 5K option and complete the challenge from anywhere during race week. Learn more and register here.

Those who would like to support the event in another way can sign up to fundraise or volunteer for a variety of roles throughout the evening.
