Purdue, Fidelity offer ‘winter capstone’ master class on retirement readiness

Purdue, in partnership with Fidelity, the university’s official provider of retirement plan education, guidance and assistance, is proud to offer a winter capstone curriculum focused on retirement readiness to help individuals start their new year with financial confidence. Presented by Fidelity workplace financial consultants, the first class is Jan. 15. There is no cost to attend.

Whether individuals are just starting to plan or getting ready to graduate into retirement, this capstone event series is designed to empower, educate and energize.

Winter capstone classes are offered virtually at noon ET on select days Jan. 15 through Feb. 18. The curriculum supports the financial wellness pillar of the Your Path Wellness Program. Individuals are encouraged to attend any or all of the classes that meet their retirement readiness needs. The winter capstone curriculum is as follows:

Live: Financial Wellness 101 and 102

  • Jan. 15: Managing My Money: Budget, Emergency Savings and Debt Basics
  • Jan. 21: Identify and Prioritize Your Savings Goals
  • Jan. 27: Make the Most of Your Retirement Savings
  • Feb. 4: Take the First Step to Investing

Mapping your path to retirement confidence

  • Feb. 10: Health Care in Retirement
  • Feb. 18: Fundamentals of Retirement Income Planning
