Nominations sought for 2026 outstanding senior international student

Nominations are open for the Martin C. Jischke Outstanding International Student of the Year Award. This award is presented each spring to honor a student who has not only excelled academically, but who has also clearly demonstrated a commitment to service — specifically in welcoming and connecting people of all cultures.

Faculty and staff are invited to nominate students who have best fulfilled the following requirements:

  • A graduating senior who has attained a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. (A graduating senioris an undergraduate graduating in May or August of the award year, or the prior December.)
  • A commitment to scholarship, demonstrated through academic achievement or recognition in research, publications, presentations, etc.
  • A commitment to leadership, demonstrated in their major department, student organization or employment affiliation
  • A commitment to service, demonstrated in how they welcome and connect people of all cultures
  • Outstanding character

Nominations can be submitted via the 2026 Martin C. Jischke International Student Award Nomination form by noon on March 13.
