Kelly High
Thank you to Kelly (Finance) for her patience and kindness! I really appreciate that she took the time to help me learn more about different processes for clubs and organizations. — Katie May (Public Health)
Mindy Anderson
Thank you, Dr. Anderson (Veterinary Medicine), for always being so supportive of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Class of 2029. Your friendly and welcoming attitude, along with your willingness to help, make a real difference in our learning experience. — Mason Tipton (Veterinary Medicine)
Sam Gascho and Laura Wainscott
Purdue Polytechnic’s Office of Academic Advising had several new hires, both during the HR system transition. After the system came back online, the business office team wasted no time in processing I-9s and employment verification. One advisor in particular was going through a name change at the time of hire. Sam and Laura (both Finance) took charge of the onboarding and helped give the advisor access to their Purdue ID and verification of documentation while assisting with username and password updates. Their realistic and calm approach to the situation made the new advisor feel comfortable in their abilities and their transition to Purdue on their first day. Great customer service and continued follow-up. — T.R. Oneal (Polytechnic Institute)
Max Dryer
Thank you to Max (Purdue Brand Studio) for his unwavering commitment to excellence and success in his time at Purdue. From being a cornerstone of the Teaching and Learning communications team for many years, to uplifting campus partners in our new chapter with Purdue Brand Studio, he has been a steadfast presence to all who have had the privilege of working with him. The impact of his work will be appreciated for years to come, and we are so grateful! Wishing him the best of luck on his next adventure. — Maggie O’Connor (Purdue Brand Studio)
3D printing at the Library of Engineering and Science
I’ve been (very slowly) printing out pieces for a board game that I hope to use for a youth program. The printing service at the Library of Engineering and Science has been an absolute lifesaver for prototyping. As a graduate student, I don’t have the money to pay for print after print of various prototypes and experimental pieces, so being able to print a small prototype every month is perfect. I wouldn’t have started the project at all without this service. The Library of Engineering and Science is truly enabling my dream to become reality. — Alexander Bowman (Educational Studies)
Rachel Wyrick
Rachel (Finance and Business Operations) was incredibly kind, helpful and patient while helping me sort out some past-due invoices. She guided me through every step of the process and made it so much easier. Thank you, Rachel! — Terri Griffin (Operations and Maintenance)
Aimee Jo Gibney, Paige Bullins and Jessica Gretencord-Steiner
I would like to thank Aimee Jo (Interdisciplinary Research) and Paige and Jessica (both Sponsored Program Services) for their help on our National Institutes of Health P30 center grant application. We only have three weeks to prepare this 400-page proposal. It wouldn’t be possible without their great support. — Jianing Li (Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology)
