Policy updates for October
The following updated systemwide policy and new standard took effect Oct. 1:
- Programs Involving Minors (III.A.6): Updates to this policy include a prohibition on international travel for minors who are not enrolled students of the university, a definition for unpaid interns and clarification that engagement of an unpaid intern who is a minor is considered a custodial program.
- Minors in Labs and Other Hazardous Areas (S-31): This new standard formalizes the requirements and prohibitions applicable to minors in laboratories and other hazardous areas of the university, whether the minor is an enrolled student or part of a youth program.
