Policy updates for December

Purdue routinely reviews and updates the university’s policies and standards. The following changes are effective Dec. 1:

  1. Foreign Adversary Nations (III.B.7): The interim status of this policy is removed.
  2. University Senate (V.B.9): The interim status of this policy is removed.
  3. Research Faculty Appointment and Promotion (VI.F.8): Updates to this policy clarify the expectations for research faculty and align the responsibilities for review and approval of these appointments with those for tenured/tenure-track and clinical/professional faculty appointments. Language describing the funding support requirements for research faculty positions was simplified.
  4. Surveillance Devices (WL-10): This new West Lafayette campus policy outlines authority for placement and maintenance of and access to surveillance devices on campus property.

Visit the new and revised policies page on the University Policy Office website for a link to the full text of these policies.

Note: Policies and standards do not apply to Purdue University Global, as it maintains its own policies and standards.
