Those who helped General Labor crew at Knoy Hall

A big thank-you goes out to Matt Bradford, Chris Wigent, Elijah Cantu, Zachary Rubright and DJ Hall (all Operations and Maintenance) for helping a short-staffed General Labor crew with a large move at Knoy. We wouldn’t have been able to finish this work without your help and willingness to pitch in. Thank you! — Brandon Ball (Operations and Maintenance)

Pam Dexter, Mia Brake and Parker Lamb

Congratulations to the Summer College for High School team — Pam, Mia and Parker (all Office of Summer and Winter Sessions) — for warmly welcoming and hosting more than 500 students during a five-week residential program this summer. Your collaborative effort across campus created a truly unique experience, allowing these students to explore Purdue University and envision themselves as future Boilermakers! – Office of Summer and Winter Sessions

Duan Liu

Duan’s (Purdue IT) support of Titan, the database we use to help manage Flex Lab, has been outstanding! Not only does she respond quickly to our routine requests — for example, a recent request to assist with space-use agreements — but she has also gone out of her way to help improve functionality of the database. This includes enabling us to track keys, update seating assignments, quickly obtain information about building user demographics and helping investigate ways to populate mailman lists. Duan’s support and hard work will pay off with time savings for those of us who use Titan on a daily basis. She has done a great job! — David Kish (College of Engineering)

Sharon Nemeth, Shelby Haugen, Tammy Haddock and the Procurement team

A huge shoutout to Sharon, Shelby, Tammy (all Finance) and the entire Procurement team for always going above and beyond to answer questions, provide guidance and step in with support whenever it’s needed. Thank you for your expertise, patience and willingness to help keep things running smoothly. We truly appreciate all you do! — Rendi Tharp (College of Engineering)

Jovane Fernandez, Nate Homan, Brenda Serrano and Sandy Winningham

Thank you, Jovane, Nate, Brenda and Sandy (all Building Services), for your services at Hovde Hall during summer commencement. — Steven Raley (Building Services)

Sonia Hill and Angela Edmondson

Thumbs-up to Sonia and Angela (both Physics and Astronomy) for a tremendous job coordinating Physics and Astronomy’s Research Experience for Undergraduates program this year! There are many moving pieces to make this happen, and they worked diligently to arrange housing, book transportation for field trips, order all the needs for the weekly gathering, and handle the reimbursement and stipends for everyone in the program. We are lucky to have them! — Physics and Astronomy Business Office

Hilltop Apartments team

I want to recognize and thank the Building Services and Operations and Maintenance teams at Hilltop Apartments. Hilltop always demands the best of everyone, but the past few summers have brought extra challenges with multiple building projects. This summer has been especially demanding due to the very short window of time available to complete rooms. Despite these challenges, you have all worked tirelessly to ensure rooms are ready before our students arrive. The limited time is no fault of yours, yet you have stepped up in every possible way to make move-in a success. I see the long hours you are putting in, and your dedication does not go unnoticed. I’m right there with you, and I truly appreciate the commitment and effort you put into every task. I ask a lot of you, and you continually rise to the occasion. I couldn’t ask for a better team. Thank you for your hard work, your teamwork and your dedication. You make Hilltop shine. — Carol Brawner (Residential Housing Operations)
