Sylvan Gorvie and Engineering Computer Network support staff

Since April we have installed new hardware for six advisors, and we have onboarded four new advisors. The ECN team has responded with professional and excellent customer service. Software is updated, network drives are mapped and desktop training has made these transitions smooth and stress-free. Sylvan (Purdue IT) has been a driving force behind this success in light of the Windows 10 transition for all of campus. We are all able to conduct daily business thanks to the behind-the-scenes team that keeps our networks running and systems accessible. — Purdue Polytechnic Advising

JJ Smith and Andrew Pigman

I’d like to give a big thumbs-up to JJ and Andrew (both Purdue IT). They are always incredibly helpful and prompt whenever I reach out with questions or issues. Their willingness to take the time to explain things clearly and follow up when needed is truly appreciated. It’s reassuring to know that I can count on their support and professionalism. Thank you both for the excellent service you consistently provide! — Rendi Tharp (College of Engineering)

Christina Stober

Christina (Center for Paralysis Research) goes above and beyond to help out a fellow Boilermaker. After a complex billing issue, Christina went out of her way to provide historical information to help connect the dots. I couldn’t have completed the task without Christina’s friendly and prompt customer service! Thank you, Christina! — Anonymous

Purdue Parking

Parking personnel, including parking and transportation clerks, parking enforcement officers, and attendants, are indeed people performing a job making a living for their families that can be challenging and sometimes thankless. They work long hours in all types of weather conditions, deal with the public in sometimes challenging circumstances, work to stay current on regulations and technology, and provide information and assistance to the public. It’s important to remember that parking personnel are performing a service that helps maintain order and safety in parking areas and on streets. Acknowledging the challenges they face and treating them with respect can help foster more positive interactions. — Ruth Alford (Purdue Conferences)

Amanda Glidden

Amanda (Sponsored Program Services) did an amazing job helping with the submission of a large grant across institutions. She was very generous with her time, patiently answering questions about the process. She also kept us all on task and followed up with reminders about needed documents. It’s hard-working and diligent people like Amanda who help move the university forward. I truly am grateful for her expertise and dedication to the grant submission process. — Jennifer Bay (English)

Max Dryer

On behalf of the Student Success Technologies team, I want to extend a huge thank-you to Max (Student Success) for all of his hard work and dedication in creating a brand-new site for our department! Max has been incredibly knowledgeable, responsive and efficient throughout the entire process, bringing this site to life in an impressively short timeframe. We truly appreciate the time, talent and attention he poured into our project. Thanks again, Max, for helping us bring our vision to life! — Ashlyn Ruff (Student Success Technologies)
