Purdue experiences, memorabilia up for bids in United Way silent auction

Purdue men’s basketball floor seats and a behind-the-scenes tour of Mackey Arena are some of the items available for bidding during United Way of Greater Lafayette’s silent auction, which ends Sept. 30.

The United Way of Greater Lafayette silent auction is now live, giving the Purdue community a chance to support local programs while bidding on exclusive experiences.

A top auction item invites four guests to go behind the scenes at Mackey Arena, with winners having the opportunity to watch a Purdue men’s basketball practice, enjoy a post-practice meet and greet with head coach Matt Painter, and take a tour of Mackey Arena.

Another opportunity includes a pair of Purdue men’s basketball winter or spring game floor seats located directly behind the announcer’s desk — a spot that guarantees camera time. These prizes were made possible by the generosity and support of Purdue Athletics and the men’s basketball team.

Thanks to a donation from White Lodging, the auction also features a second pair of floor tickets to watch the men’s basketball team take on Marquette during a Dec. 13 matchup at Mackey Arena.

Additional prizes available for bidding include Purdue memorabilia and other unique items perfect for alumni and fans alike. From collectibles to unique gifts, the auction offers plenty of ways for Boilermakers to show their pride while supporting the community.

Bidding is available online only and will close at 5 p.m. Sept. 30. To view all available items and place bids, visit the silent auction website.

All silent auction proceeds will benefit United Way of Greater Lafayette, which funds programs that provide health, education and financial stability for families across the community.
