Policy updates for September

The following new and updated systemwide policy and standard took effect Sept. 1:

  • Classified Information (I.A.7): This new policy provides guidance on the handling, access and safeguarding of classified information (as defined by the federal government). While most contracts and other agreements Purdue has with federal agencies do not involve classified work, this policy addresses those instances when they do.
  • Classified Computing (S-9): Updates to this standard bring it into alignment with updates to federal requirements for safeguarding classified information on university information systems and with the new policy listed above.

Visit the New and Revised Policies page on the University Policy Office website for a link to the full text of these systemwide policies and standards.

Note: Policies and standards do not apply to Purdue University Global, as it maintains its own policies and standards.
