About the book (from the publisher)

This book analyzes dominant discourses of globalization and citizenship in schools. It focuses on topics such as the impact of technology on inquiry in citizenship education and global citizenship teacher education through collaborative online international learning. The chapters in this volume advance further dominant discourses on the phenomenon of globalization and citizenship education and how they impact the nature of teaching citizenship education in schools around the world.

By building on intercultural dialogue, citizenship education and values education in schools, the book promotes critical appraisal of various views of the world and offers different ways to reconstruct and reimagine social reality and citizenship education for democracy and equality.
