This week’s ‘Thumbs Up’ recipients

Brandon White

I recently moved offices, and Brandon (Capital Projects) was a huge assistance in helping coordinate the logistics of the move and getting technology in the new space set up. His help was much appreciated and took a lot of the stress out of moving spaces. — Jeff Stefancic (Office of the Vice Provost for Student Life)

Lisa Snider

A huge thank you to Lisa (Operations and Maintenance), our work request center maintenance clerk, for her incredible behind-the-scenes support that made Spring Fling a resounding success! Organizing an event of this size requires a multitude of services to come together seamlessly. Lisa’s expertise and proactive efforts in managing all the work orders were absolutely essential and, frankly, I would have been lost without her! — Carrie Hanson (Human Resources)

Ali Bramson

Ali (Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences) has demonstrated exceptional contributions in research, teaching and service this year. This month, she has used her expertise in radar techniques to support archaeological excavations at Fort Ouiatenon as part of an interdisciplinary collaboration involving Purdue’s Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences; the Department of Anthropology; the University of Southern Indiana; the Ouiatenon Preserve; the Tippecanoe County Historical Association; and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. She has also been advancing efforts to adapt and implement these radar techniques on the moon through several NASA opportunities and recently traveled to Washington, D.C., to directly advocate for science. Ali’s dedication to the community is admirable, and she continues to promote student engagement and learning in these innovative areas of exploration. — Kelsey Prissel (Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences)
