This week’s ‘Thumbs Up’ recipients

Lora White

Thank you so much, Lora (Horticulture and Landscape Architecture Business Office), for all your support and collaboration with graduate offer letters and employment inquiries. I truly value our partnership. Your responsiveness and attention to detail help make the process, and all of its ongoing changes, so much smoother. I really appreciate all that you do! — Kristina Cooley (Horticulture and Landscape Architecture)

Becky Peer

Becky (Agricultural and Biological Engineering) is fighting against some incredible challenges, but she manages to keep all of the balls in the air. She made my retirement celebration amazing — with help from my other co-workers — and keeps her head up and moving forward. Thank you, Becky, for being exactly who you are! — Carol Weaver (Agricultural and Biological Engineering)

Amanda Glidden

I have had the pleasure of working with Amanda (Sponsored Program Services) on a number of grant proposal submissions. She is an absolute delight to work with! She is extremely skilled with pre-award activities and is highly professional. I’m extremely grateful for all of her assistance and would love to see her good work recognized! — Jenny Brown (Psychological Sciences)

David Leonard, Matt Nickle and Jay Senesac

A big thumbs-up to David, Matt, Jay (all Computer Science) and all of the student workers for their outstanding work managing the Lawson Computer Science Building and the Hall of Data Science and AI. The College of Science Marketing and Communication team is especially grateful for their help coordinating large deliveries, assisting with photo shoot logistics and supporting event preparations for both college and departmental activities. Whether it’s finding the right time for a shoot and ensuring access to spaces or navigating the logistics of getting materials in and out of the building, their thoughtful coordination makes a big difference. Thank you, David, Matt and Jay, for your dedication and all that you do to support the Purdue Science community! — Emily Kinsell, Nichole Turner, Cheryl Pierce and the College of Science Marketing and Communication team

Melissa Franks and Nicole Moody

Melissa and Nicole (both Office of the Vice Provost for Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Scholars) were instrumental in helping advance a new program proposal. I appreciated their willingness to make themselves available to meet a tight project timeline and help us work within and understand policies to launch a new program. — Bryan DeWitt (Purdue Online)

Thank you, Amanda, Nathan, Carol (all Agricultural and Biological Engineering), and all ABE faculty and staff for going above and beyond to make people feel appreciated and supported. Thank you for genuinely caring for faculty, staff and students! — Katie May (Public Health)
