Search for the next Justin S. Morrill Dean of the College of Liberal Arts

Provost Patrick Wolfe shares in a message to campus that Jim Bullard, the Dr. Samuel R. Allen Dean of the Daniels School of Business and Distinguished Professor of Economics, will chair the search advisory committee to help identify the next dean of the College of Liberal Arts. Wolfe also names committee members.

As was previously announced, Dean David Reingold has been named the next Chancellor of Indiana University Bloomington, effective June 2. Please join me in warmly congratulating David and thanking him for his decade of leadership at Purdue. 

Distinguished Professor of Economics Jim Bullard, the Dr. Samuel R. Allen Dean of the Daniels School of Business, has kindly agreed to chair our search advisory committee to help identify the next CLA dean, along with:

  • Emily Buehler, assistant professor, communication 
  • Frederick Davis, R. Mark Lubbers Chair in the History of Science and department head, history
  • Rich Dionne, chair and associate professor of practice, theater 
  • Kristy Foster, director of College Outreach, College of Liberal Arts
  • Darryl Granger, professor, earth, atmospheric and planetary sciences
  • Brian Leung, professor, English 
  • Cherie Maestas, professor and department head, political science 
  • Mark Pawson,  lecturer, sociology 
  • David Rollock, 150th Anniversary Professor, psychological sciences
