Purdue Books Initiative continues monthly publishing webinars for authors

The Purdue University Books Initiative continues its monthly webinar series featuring global publishing houses. Faculty and staff are invited to attend the Emerald Publishing webinar at 11 a.m. Wednesday (June 18). This webinar will introduce and provide guidance for publishing in the Emerald-Purdue Research Impact Series.

The series provides a home for the most impactful research conducted by Purdue graduate students and faculty. The webinar will provide guidance on proposing books for the series, converting thesis research into a book manuscript, and receiving support from Emerald from proposal to writing and ultimately publication. The Emerald-Purdue Research Impact series publishes books across a wide range of disciplines, including engineering, education, liberal arts, public health and business.

The webinar will be led by Kim Chadwick, who leads the book publishing program at Emerald. She has worked in scholarly book publishing for over a decade and has commissioned in a range of social sciences disciplines, including education research, politics and sociology. Emerald publishes over 450 books a year across the social sciences, business and management, and engineering.

This webinar is accessible through a Teams link.
