Policy updates for June

The following new and updated systemwide policies and standards are effective June 1:

  1. Anti-Harassment (III.C.1): The policy includes expanded examples of its applicability to an individual’s national origin, ancestry and religion and provides clarifying language about false claims.
  2. Campus Security and Crime Statistics (IV.A.2): This policy was updated to comply with the Stop Campus Hazing Act.
  3. Freedom of Expression (S-28): This standard includes language regarding the ability of university community members to engage in debate and deliberation.
  4. Intellectual Diversity (S-27): Updates to this standard clarify the expectations of faculty, lecturers, teaching assistants and other teaching staff.
  5. Lecturer Advisory Committee (V.B.8): This is a new policy that establishes an advisory committee for lecturers.

Visit the new and revised policies page on the University Policy Office website for a link to the full text of these systemwide policies and standards.

Note: These do not apply to Purdue University Global, as it maintains its own policies and standards.
