This week’s ‘Thumbs Up’ recipients

Ashleigh Stingley

We had an event on campus and ran out of parking passes, but Ashleigh (Parking Facilities) saved the day! Within 15 minutes of calling her, she sent us exactly what we needed. Her quick response and enthusiasm were greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help! — Patty Rigdon (Enrollment Management) and Ashley Wright (Office of Admissions)

Robyn McCain and the Pre-Clinical Research Laboratory

Robyn (Clinical Research) and the PCL crew cheerfully jumped in to help at the last minute when an unanticipated glitch came up. They pitched in without even hesitating, enabling a time-sensitive project to move forward in a way that would not have been possible without their help. — Dianne Little (Basic Medical Sciences)

Kevin Post, Mitchell Smith, Ryan Tyson, Jason Anderson and crew

Kevin and Mitchell (both Operations and Maintenance) responded almost immediately when they were made aware that the Grounds maintenance facilities’ boiler heat was not working. While working on the boiler, they also recognized the building’s fresh air makeup unit heater wasn’t working, thus pulling in single digit-degree air from the outside. They quickly found the problems and ordered parts. While we waited on parts, Ryan (Environmental Health and Safety) and Jason (Operations and Maintenance) found a big electric heater that heated the building’s shop area until the parts arrived and were installed. We are thankful for the quick response and service of these Administrative Operations personnel that kept the Grounds building warm so we could continue the snow removal operations for the campus. Thanks so much. — Grounds department
