Mileage rate change in effect for 2025

Effective Jan. 1, the mileage rate for Purdue University business travel using a privately owned vehicle is 70 cents per mile, up from 67 cents per mile in 2024. The rate is based on both fixed and variable costs of operating a vehicle.

The Indiana Department of Administration mileage rate for using privately owned vehicles on sponsored program grant funds remains at 49 cents per mile.
